The
grandfather already
knew Quinta da Lameira’s land was exceptionally fertile. In 1952, he tried to
grow orange trees and was very pleased with the results: the sweetest and
juiciest oranges he had ever tasted. His love for citrus fruits grew along with
its production.
The
father, who always enjoyed a good challenge,
learned to take care of orchard. He soon realized that alike people, trees eat,
drink, breath, perspire and need attention. This is why he wakes up early
everyday to ensure every orange grows under the best possible conditions.
The
children realized
the treasure that was in their hands and certified production according to the
highest environmental standards to commercialize the fruit in demanding
markets. They work together to bring to your table the market’s freshest and
sweetest oranges.
